Expressing the Self: Creative Writing As Therapy

During my undergraduate years as a psychology major, I wrote an article for the Hunter College Psychology Collective’s bi-annual publication, Psych News, for its Spring 2012 issue. I wanted to explore the idea of how creative writing can be a powerful tool for self-reflection and problem-solving in patients who used it as part of their treatment for counseling and therapy.
